The Ministry of Works, in coordination with the General Traffic Department of the Ministry of Interior, has announced maintenance work on Nasser bin Jabr Al Jabr Street at its intersection with King Abdullah bin Al Hussein Street in the Seef District. This work will require the closure of some lanes within the intersection, with the affected area operational from tomorrow, at 11pm, until Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at 5am. Additionally, maintenance work on Shaikh Duaij Street, between Al Fateh Street and Al Qasr Street, will necessitate the staged closure of one lane in each direction, with one lane remaining open for traffic. The project is set to begin on Monday, August 5, 2024, and will last for one month. The Ministry is urging all road users to follow traffic regulations to ensure safety and minimize disruptions during this period.

Furthermore, several upcoming road closures have been announced by the Ministry of Works. From August 1 to 4, two lanes will be closed on December 16 Road in Riffa, while one lane will be closed in certain phases on Al Janabiya Road from Road 57 to Budaiya Road during the same period. The right lane on both sides at Bahrain Map flyover on Shaikh Isa bin Salman Highway will be closed from August 1 to 2, and lanes will be closed at the King Faisal Highway & Budaiya Road intersection from August 1 to 3. Additionally, one lane on both sides of Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Bridge will be closed from August 1 to 4.

This ongoing maintenance work and upcoming road closures are part of the Ministry of Works’ efforts to ensure the safety and efficiency of Bahrain’s road infrastructure. By conducting necessary maintenance and repairs, the Ministry aims to provide road users with a smooth and safe travel experience. However, it is important for all road users to be aware of these closures and follow traffic regulations to avoid any inconvenience or potential accidents. Adhering to posted signs and signals will help minimize disruptions and ensure the safety of all individuals using the affected roads.

The Ministry of Works emphasizes the importance of cooperation from road users during these maintenance works and road closures. By following traffic regulations, including obeying speed limits, avoiding distractions while driving, and being patient during any delays, individuals can help ensure the safety of themselves and others on the road. It is essential for drivers to plan their routes in advance, consider alternative roads, if possible, and allow for extra travel time to account for any closures or detours. By working together, road users can help facilitate the completion of maintenance work in a timely manner and maintain the overall safety of Bahrain’s road network.

In conclusion, the Ministry of Works is dedicated to improving Bahrain’s road infrastructure through ongoing maintenance works and timely repairs. Road users are advised to stay informed about upcoming closures and follow traffic regulations to avoid any disruptions or safety hazards. By prioritizing safety, cooperation, and adherence to traffic rules, all individuals can contribute to a smooth and efficient road network in Bahrain. Let’s work together to ensure the success of these maintenance projects and the overall safety of our roads.
