Qatar Tourism and Goodwood Racecourse extend partnership for several years

Qatar Tourism, represented by Visit Qatar, recently announced the renewal of a multi-year partnership with Goodwood Racecourse, starting in 2025. This partnership is an extension of the successful collaboration with Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club that began in 2015. The Goodwood Festival, known as one of the highlights of the British Flat racing season, will continue to grow and solidify its position in the world of horseracing.

The partnership between Qatar Tourism and Goodwood Racecourse is the largest single sponsorship deal in British Horseracing, and has played a significant role in elevating the Qatar Goodwood Festival to become one of the most prestigious and valuable meetings globally. Saad bin Ali Al Kharji, Chairman of Qatar Tourism, expressed their dedication to showcasing Qatar’s culture and offerings on a global stage. He stated, “We look forward to the opportunities this partnership will bring, further solidifying Qatar’s positioning in the international sporting world.”

The Duke of Richmond, Chairman of Goodwood Racecourse, expressed gratitude towards Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club for their contributions to the Qatar Goodwood Festival and British Horseracing. He welcomed the partnership with Visit Qatar and emphasized their excitement to work together to enhance the Visit Qatar Goodwood Festival. This collaboration signifies a shared commitment to excellence and innovation in the world of horseracing.

The Qatar Olympic Committee President H E Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani was present during the sponsorship signing ceremony, underscoring the importance of this partnership for Qatar’s sporting and cultural representation on an international platform. The renewal of the multi-year partnership with Goodwood Racecourse reflects Qatar’s continued efforts to promote its vibrant culture and offerings to a global audience through exciting sporting events like the Visit Qatar Goodwood Festival.
