The Qatar national basketball team is gearing up to compete in the GCC U18 Basketball Tournament, which serves as a qualifier for the Asian Cup finals. The team will kick off their journey by facing off against Kuwait on Tuesday at 7:30 pm. The tournament, held at the Federation Hall at the Sheikh Saad Al Abdullah Complex in Sabah Al Salem, will include teams from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Bahrain, and Qatar. Qatar’s remaining matches will be against Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain on July 31, August 1, and August 2 respectively.

To prepare for the tournament, the Qatari team embarked on a three-week training camp in Istanbul, Turkey. This training camp will help them fine-tune their skills and strategies before entering the highly competitive tournament. The ultimate goal for the teams participating in the GCC U18 Basketball Tournament is to secure a spot in the Asian Cup finals, which will take place in Amman, Jordan, from September 2 to 9. The champions and runners-up from the tournament will earn their spot in the prestigious event.

The Qatar national basketball team will face stiff competition from their GCC counterparts in the upcoming tournament.
