Oman’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, recently had a phone call with Hussain Al Sheikh, Secretary of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization. During the call, they discussed the latest developments in the Arab movement on the international scene in support of the Palestinian cause. They also condemned the recent decision by the Israeli Knesset to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state.

Both parties welcomed the results of the Beijing Declaration, which aims to achieve unity among Palestinian factions and affirm the unity of the Palestinian decision. The declaration also supports the sovereignty of the Palestinian state over all its territories in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, based on the 1967 borders. Additionally, the declaration calls for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces from these territories.

This conversation highlights the ongoing efforts to support the Palestinian cause and promote unity among Palestinian factions. The international community, including Oman and the Palestine Liberation Organization, is working towards ensuring the rights and sovereignty of the Palestinian state are upheld in accordance with international law and previous agreements.

The recent decision by the Israeli Knesset to prevent the establishment of a Palestinian state has been met with widespread condemnation from various Arab nations and international organizations. It is seen as a setback in the quest for a peaceful resolution to the longstanding Israeli-Palestinian conflict.

The Beijing Declaration represents a significant step towards achieving unity and solidarity among Palestinian factions. By affirming the sovereignty of the Palestinian state over its territories and calling for the complete withdrawal of Israeli forces, the declaration sets a clear path forward for the Palestinian cause.

Overall, the phone call between Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi and Hussain Al Sheikh underscores the unwavering support of Oman for the Palestinian cause. By engaging in dialogue and cooperation with the Palestine Liberation Organization and other Arab nations, Oman is actively working towards a peaceful and just resolution to the conflict in the region. The Beijing Declaration serves as a framework for unity and progress in achieving the rights and sovereignty of the Palestinian people.
