The Dubai Police recently issued fines totaling up to Dh5,000 for jet ski owners who committed violations. A total of 160 violations were registered against jet ski owners, along with 52 violations against owners of other types of maritime vessels over the past two months. Violations included operating jet skis with expired licenses, entering prohibited areas such as swimming zones and hotel beaches, not wearing life jackets, operating beyond designated time frames, allowing underage individuals to operate recreational maritime vessels, and overloading vessels.

Brigadier Dr. Hassan Suhail, Director of the Port Police Station, released a press statement detailing the violations. He mentioned that the fines for driving a jet ski with an expired license is Dh1,000, while using it at unauthorized times incurs a Dh2,000 fine. Violators who sail in prohibited areas within the emirate may face a penalty of up to Dh5,000. Brig Suhail also emphasized the importance of not overloading watercraft to ensure the safety of users and highlighted a Dh3,000 fine for not wearing the required safety equipment on a watercraft.

It is essential for jet ski owners and users to adhere to the regulations set by the Dubai Police to avoid fines and penalties. Operating jet skis with expired licenses, entering prohibited areas, not wearing life jackets, and overloading vessels are serious violations that can lead to significant fines. By following the rules and regulations, jet ski owners can ensure their safety and the safety of others while enjoying water activities in Dubai.

To stay updated on the latest news and regulations, individuals can follow KT on WhatsApp Channels. This allows users to receive real-time updates and important information related to maritime activities, including any changes in rules and regulations set by the Dubai Police. Brigadier Suhail’s caution against overloading watercraft is crucial for preserving the lives and safety of users. Overloading can lead to instability and accidents, putting individuals at risk. By following the weight limits and guidelines for each watercraft, owners can ensure a safe and enjoyable experience on the water. Additionally, wearing the required safety equipment is essential for personal protection in case of emergencies or accidents while operating a jet ski or other maritime vessels.

In conclusion, it is important for jet ski owners and users in Dubai to comply with the regulations set by the Dubai Police to avoid fines and penalties. Violations such as operating with expired licenses, entering prohibited areas, not wearing life jackets, and overloading vessels can result in significant fines and penalties. By following the rules, staying informed through KT’s WhatsApp Channels, and prioritizing safety measures, individuals can enjoy water activities responsibly while maintaining their own safety and the safety of others on the water.
