Dubai-born Rayhan Thomas is set to compete in the $2 million International Series England tournament alongside other top players based in Dubai. The event will take place at the Foxhills Golf Club in Surrey, England, from August 8th to 11th. Rayhan expressed his excitement to play at an elite level and plans to prepare for the tournament in Dubai before heading to England. The Asian Tour’s International Series events have a strong field, offering Thomas the chance to compete against some of the best players in the game.

Rayhan, a rookie professional, recently finished tied eighth in the International Series Morocco, showcasing his potential in the professional golf scene. The 24-year-old is grateful for the opportunity and support from the Asian Tour, and he is looking forward to competing against top players in England. With visa arrangements taken care of, Rayhan is currently in Dubai spending quality time with his parents before the tournament.

The International Series England tournament will feature a strong international field, including entries from the DP World Tour, LIV Golf, and notable Asian Tour players such as Richard Bland, Ian Poulter, and Branden Grace. Dubai-based players Anirban Lahiri, Shiv Kapur, Gaganjeet Bhullar, and Jeev Milkha Singh will also participate in the event. This will be the fourth International Series on the Asian Tour this season, following successful tournaments in Oman, Macau, and Morocco.

The winner of the Asian Tour’s International Series Order of Merit 2024 will earn a spot in the LIV Golf League in 2025, adding an extra incentive for players to perform well in the tournament. Thomas, currently in tied 32nd place, aims to improve his position with a strong showing in England. The previous winner of the England event, Andy Ogletree, is now a member of the all-American HyFlyers GC team on LIV Golf, highlighting the potential opportunities that await successful players.

Overall, the International Series England tournament promises to be an exciting and competitive event, with top players from around the world vying for the title. With a mix of experienced professionals and emerging talents like Rayhan Thomas, the tournament is set to deliver thrilling golf action at the prestigious Foxhills Golf Club in Surrey. Fans of the sport can expect to witness high-quality competition and stellar performances from the participating players.
