The Seeds for the Future program, in collaboration with the Communications Regulatory Authority (CRA), is now accepting applications for 10 Qatari university students to participate in the 8th edition of the program in Uzbekistan in August 2024. This program aims to enhance the skills of Qatari youth in the field of communications and IT. The selected students will have the opportunity to engage in a week-long program in Uzbekistan, alongside peers from the Middle East and Central Asia, focused on real projects that address global challenges.

Huawei Technologies Gulf President, Rico Lin, emphasized the significance of nurturing young talent globally through programs like ‘Seeds for the Future’. The Tech4Good regional competition will be held alongside the program, encouraging students to innovate technological solutions that address social and environmental challenges and make a positive impact on their communities. Huawei launched the Seeds for the Future program in 2008, with over 18,000 students from 141 countries participating since then. In Qatar, the program has attracted over 300 outstanding students from various universities, with the country also hosting the first regional program for the Middle East and Central Asia in 2023.
The selected students for the 8th edition of the program will participate in interactive experiences in Uzbekistan, focusing on cultural exchange and cutting-edge technologies.
