QatarDebate wraps up its summer camp in Education City today

QatarDebate Center is wrapping up its summer camp in Education City today, geared towards fostering social and mental growth in students aged 10-13. The camp aims to enhance leadership and teamwork skills, facilitate friendships, elevate communication and interaction with others, and introduce a more enjoyable and beneficial environment outside of the classroom. Trainer Farah Al Harbi from Kuwait highlighted the camp’s focus on critical thinking, debate, public speaking, and group work, with activities such as presenting plays as a model for debate.

The spirit of harmony among participants has been evident since day one, a key component of success in debate. Al Harbi emphasized the importance of the summer camp in improving academic performance and urged parents to encourage their children to partake in future sessions to benefit from the unique activities and skills offered. The camp, which saw 30 participants, will wrap up with a mini-tournament showcasing the students’ enhanced skills, with awards for the best team and top three speakers.
