The private healthcare sector in the UAE has recently hired 425 Emiratis after signing Studying Citizen Employment Contracts. This initiative came as a result of the individuals enrolling in Nafis’ National Healthcare Programme, according to the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation. The Ministry is currently working towards employing more than 1,600 UAE citizens who are enrolled in the programme. The collaboration with Nafis has led to the introduction of the Studying Citizen Employment Contract, which offers students company sponsorship and a minimum salary of Dh4,000, paid through the Wage Protection System.

The Studying Citizen Employment Contract also includes additional benefits such as registration in an authorised pension fund, financial rewards based on academic performance, and support from Nafis upon graduation. Furthermore, students employed under this contract can be counted towards the company’s Emiratisation targets. The goal of this initiative is to create more job opportunities for Emirati nationals in the private healthcare sector and support their educational and career development. By providing financial stability and career growth opportunities, the programme aims to enhance the overall well-being of Emirati citizens.

This collaboration between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Nafis highlights the importance of investing in local talent and creating sustainable employment opportunities for Emirati nationals. The Studying Citizen Employment Contracts not only provide financial support and job security to students but also help companies meet their Emiratisation targets. By prioritizing the hiring of Emirati citizens, the private healthcare sector is contributing to the economic growth and development of the UAE’s workforce.

Emirati students enrolled in the National Healthcare Programme can now benefit from the opportunities provided through the Studying Citizen Employment Contracts. With a focus on skill development and career advancement, these contracts offer a pathway for students to transition into full-time employment after graduation. The financial support and benefits included in the contract aim to incentivize Emirati nationals to pursue careers in the healthcare sector, ultimately contributing to the sector’s growth and development in the country.

As the private healthcare sector continues to expand and evolve in the UAE, the recruitment and retention of local talent are crucial for its sustainability. The implementation of the Studying Citizen Employment Contracts demonstrates a proactive approach to addressing the workforce needs of the healthcare sector while promoting Emirati workforce participation. By investing in the education and employment of Emirati nationals, the private healthcare sector is not only supporting individual career growth but also contributing to the overall economic prosperity of the country.

Overall, the collaboration between the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation and Nafis, through the introduction of Studying Citizen Employment Contracts, marks a significant step towards enhancing Emirati workforce participation in the private healthcare sector. By providing students with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience, financial stability, and career growth, these contracts play a vital role in empowering Emirati nationals to build successful careers in the healthcare industry. As more Emiratis benefit from these initiatives, the private healthcare sector is expected to witness a positive impact on its workforce diversity and growth, ultimately contributing to the overall development of the healthcare sector in the UAE.
