The UAE recently provided three tonnes of medical supplies and various medicines to support the healthcare sector and hospitals in Gaza Strip, particularly in Khan Younis. This response came after appeals from the health sector highlighting a shortage of medicines, including at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis. The medical supplies will help ensure the continuity of medical services for the injured, patients, and displaced individuals in the region. The aid includes necessary medical supplies for hospitals facing shortages, medicines for various injuries, insulin dosages for diabetic patients, and solutions to support the healthcare sector during this critical situation.

In coordination with various hospitals and international medical organizations, the UAE is working to enhance the healthcare situation in Gaza Strip following its deterioration due to the recent conflict. The war led to a number of hospitals shutting down due to destruction and a lack of essential medicines and supplies. Operations to provide medical services to patients and the injured have been hindered in various areas of Gaza Strip as a result. The UAE has provided significant assistance, including 10 ambulances equipped with modern capabilities, and the total amount of aid sent by the country has reached 337 tonnes, including medical devices, medicines, and essential supplies for the Ministry of Health.
