Japan Expo, one of the largest Japanese pop culture conventions in Europe, opened its doors in Paris this year with 900 exhibitors showcasing everything from the latest mangas to handcrafted souvenirs. The event will also feature a booth promoting Osaka 2025 World Expo, scheduled to be held in 2025. The World Expo, a global platform for innovation and collaboration, takes place every five years and welcomes countries from around the world to showcase their advancements in various fields. In 2025, Osaka will host the World Expo for six months, presenting the theme of designing a future society for our lives.

As the Japan Expo’s City of the Year, Osaka is set to take centre stage at the event, allowing visitors to get a sneak peek into what the 2025 World Expo has in store. Megumi Nakai, Chief of Global Communications for the Osaka 2025 Expo, mentioned that visitors can expect traditional food, culture, and technologies at the Expo. From flying cars to AI translation systems, the Expo will offer a glimpse into what the future holds. Visitors at the Japan Expo in Paris have the opportunity to meet Myaku-Myaku, the official mascot of Osaka’s upcoming event.

France’s pavilion at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka is expected to be a highlight of the event, offering visitors an immersive 20-minute journey through French heritage and culture. Chloé Villanova, Head of Communications for France Pavilion at the Osaka 2025 Expo, mentioned that visitors can enjoy a romantic stroll through France, discover the country’s heritage, and savor authentic French food at the pavilion. At the Japan Expo in Paris, attendees can preview featured works that will be exhibited in France’s pavilion at the Osaka World Expo, including a tapestry depicting a scene from the iconic animation film Princess Mononoke.

Craftsmen spent over a year weaving the tapestry, which will be displayed at the entrance of the Osaka World Expo, showcasing our connection with nature. With over 250,000 visitors expected at the Japan Expo in Paris this year, the event promises to be a celebration of Japanese culture and a preview of what’s to come at the 2025 World Expo in Osaka. With a range of exhibitors, activities, and immersive experiences, the Japan Expo offers a unique opportunity for fans of Japanese culture to come together and explore the wonders of this dynamic and ever-evolving world. Whether it’s through traditional foods, cutting-edge technologies, or artistic displays, the Expo invites visitors to immerse themselves in a world where the past meets the future in an exciting collision of innovation and tradition.
