Saudi Foreign Minister: Gaza violence underscores the human toll of conflict

In his speech delivered at the 14th Gulf Research Meeting 2024, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan addressed the ongoing violence and bloodshed in Gaza, emphasizing the human cost of conflict. He highlighted the importance of strengthening the international system to prevent chaos and conflict and promote cooperation among nations. Prince Faisal stressed the need for countries to uphold principles of international law, mutual respect, and peaceful dispute resolution.

Prince Faisal acknowledged the looming specter of conflict that threatens global prosperity and progress. He emphasized the importance of exercising restraint, wisdom, and foresight in all actions, noting the Kingdom’s efforts to support stability and cooperation in the region. These efforts aim to build bridges of understanding and solidarity that go beyond boundaries and divisions, creating an environment conducive to innovation and prosperity for all.
