The Ministry of Labour in Muscat has reiterated its commitment to providing national job-seekers with employment opportunities in the military and security apparatuses based on the actual needs of the workforce. Yahya bin Mohammed Al Battashi, Director of the Department of Other Units Affairs at the Ministry of Labour, emphasized that all citizens who meet the required terms and conditions but were not initially selected will have a chance to compete for available jobs in the military and security sector.

Al Battashi highlighted that the selection of candidates for employment in the military and security apparatuses will be based on the population density in different regions of the Sultanate. He emphasized that the youth have shown a great interest in pursuing careers in these areas and that a significant number of citizens have been nominated for employment opportunities, provided they meet the age requirement and other necessary conditions for each specific branch.

For individuals interested in joining the military and security apparatuses, Al Battashi outlined the requirements, such as being under the age of 27 for the Royal Oman Police (ROP), under 25 for the Ministry of Defence and the Sultan Armed Forces, and meeting educational qualifications. He also mentioned that individuals with university degrees will have opportunities for employment in the military and security sector, with specific age limits for each branch.

Jobseekers with general education diplomas or equivalent qualifications were encouraged to register their interest in joining the military and security apparatuses through the Ministry of Labour’s online platform and to stay updated on notices released in the mass media and on social media channels. Al Battashi assured that work is ongoing to announce employment opportunities for university graduates in the coming days at various military and security branches, emphasizing the importance of keeping up to date with the Ministry’s announcements.

Overall, the Ministry of Labour’s commitment to providing employment opportunities in the military and security sector for national job-seekers reflects the government’s efforts to support the youth and meet the workforce needs of the country. By emphasizing the importance of meeting age requirements and educational qualifications, the Ministry aims to ensure that individuals who are interested in pursuing careers in the military and security apparatuses have the necessary information and opportunities to do so. Through online platforms and social media channels, jobseekers can stay informed about upcoming employment opportunities in these sectors and take the necessary steps to compete for available jobs.
