Release date announced for documentary on ‘RRR’ director SS Rajamouli – News

A documentary on the life and works of acclaimed film director SS Rajamouli is set to release on Netflix on August 2nd. Rajamouli, known for his blockbusters like Baahubali and RRR, has also won an Oscar for his work. The documentary will provide insights into the filmmaker’s journey to success, featuring interviews with global luminaries such as James Cameron, Joe Russo, and Karan Johar, as well as friends and colleagues like Prabhas, Jr NTR, Rana Daggubati, and Ram Charan.

Produced by Anupama Chopra, the documentary titled “Modern Masters: S.S. Rajamouli” will showcase Rajamouli’s impact on Indian and international cinema through behind-the-scenes footage and candid discussions. Netflix collaborated with Applause Entertainment and Film Companion Studios to create the film, aiming to shed light on Rajamouli’s extraordinary career and his enduring influence on the film industry. Chopra expressed her excitement about working on the project, highlighting Rajamouli’s visionary storytelling that has captivated audiences worldwide.

Aside from the documentary release, Rajamouli recently made a cameo appearance in Nag Ashwin’s film “Kalki 2898 AD,” which is currently playing in cinemas in the UAE. This cameo further adds to Rajamouli’s diverse portfolio and showcases his willingness to collaborate with other filmmakers. Fans of the director can look forward to gaining a deeper understanding of his creative process and the impact of his work through the upcoming documentary on Netflix.
