Larsen & Toubro’s renewable arm has secured mega orders in the Middle East to build two gigawatt-scale Solar PV plants with a total capacity of 3.5 GW. The scope of the orders includes grid interconnections, pooling substations, and overhead transmission lines. Detailed engineering and initial construction work are set to begin soon. Last month, L&T had also won a solar-cum-storage plant order in India. With these new orders, their renewables portfolio is expected to reach 22 GWp cumulative capacities, including solar and wind generation projects.

T Madhava Das, Whole-time Director & Sr Executive Vice President (Utilities) at L&T, expressed confidence in their engineering and project management capabilities to meet performance, safety, quality, and timeline requirements. He highlighted the significance of customer trust in securing these orders. S N Subrahmanyan, Chairman & Managing Director of L&T, emphasized the Middle East’s progress in sustainable energy infrastructure and smart living. He sees these new orders as valuable additions to L&T’s green portfolio and their commitment to embracing next-generation technologies for a sustainable future.

This development showcases Larsen & Toubro’s growing presence and expertise in the renewable energy sector, particularly in solar power. By securing these mega orders in the Middle East, the company is solidifying its position as a key player in the region’s transition towards sustainable energy solutions. With a focus on green technologies and infrastructure, L&T is aligning itself with the global push for clean energy and environmentally friendly initiatives.

The successful acquisition of these mega orders underscores Larsen & Toubro’s reputation for excellence in engineering and project management. Their ability to meet the stringent requirements for plant performance, safety standards, quality control, and project timelines has earned them the trust of their clients in the Middle East. This track record of delivering high-quality renewable energy projects has positioned L&T as a trusted partner for sustainable development initiatives in the region.

As the renewable energy sector continues to expand globally, Larsen & Toubro’s significant portfolio growth in solar and wind projects demonstrates their commitment to driving the transition towards clean energy sources. By leveraging their expertise in engineering, project management, and technology innovation, L&T is contributing to the sustainable development goals of the Middle East countries. These mega orders are a testament to L&T’s capabilities to deliver large-scale, complex renewable energy projects efficiently and effectively.

In conclusion, Larsen & Toubro’s recent success in securing mega orders for solar PV plants in the Middle East highlights their leadership in the renewable energy sector. With a growing portfolio of solar and wind projects, the company is well-positioned to support the region’s shift towards sustainable energy solutions. By prioritizing customer trust, quality, and innovation, L&T is driving the adoption of green technologies and infrastructure in the Middle East, setting the stage for a cleaner, more sustainable future.
