The sudden death of eight-year-old Indian boy, Rashid Yasar, at a school in Sharjah has left his family demanding answers. Rashid, a Grade 1 student, passed away on the first day of Ramadan, shortly after arriving at school. A forensic report from the Sharjah Police revealed that Rashid had sustained a fresh bruise, internal bleeding, and severe head injuries that led to his death. The autopsy confirmed that a head injury caused severe concussion and brain damage.

CCTV footage from the school showed Rashid being teased and eventually falling to the ground. However, the critical moments leading to his fall were not captured, leading the family to allege that he was attacked and bullied during those missing seconds. Rashid’s father, Habib Yasar, has sought assistance from the Indian Consulate in finding out what happened to his son and demanding action against the school for failing to protect him. The family described Rashid as a happy and healthy child with no history of medical issues or misbehavior.

The school denied the bullying allegations and expressed condolences for the family’s loss, but refrained from responding to specific questions regarding the incident. Habib and his family have been devastated by the loss of Rashid, who was a beloved child with promising potential. They have struggled to come to terms with his sudden death, especially in the face of elderly relatives who remain unaware of the tragic events. The family is seeking closure and justice for Rashid, hoping to prevent similar incidents from happening to other children.

Rashid’s grandparents shared their grief over the loss of the young boy, noting how his death has turned their lives upside down. They described Rashid as a darling child who had accompanied them to prayers just before the incident. The family has been forced to conceal the truth from their aged great-grandparents, who are still unaware of Rashid’s passing. Habib emphasized the pain of losing a child suddenly and expressed the family’s need for closure to ease their suffering and bring some peace to their hearts.

The tragic death of Rashid has raised concerns about safety and security in schools, as well as the responsibility of educational institutions to protect their students. The family’s pursuit of answers and justice reflects a broader issue of accountability and transparency in cases of school-related incidents. By shedding light on Rashid’s story, the family hopes to raise awareness about the impact of bullying and negligence on young children’s lives. Their quest for closure serves as a reminder of the lasting impact of such tragedies on families and communities.
