Minister of Public Health H E Dr. Hanan Mohammed Al Kuwari recently highlighted the significance of the Medical Care and Research Centre in Qatar, stating that it reflects the country’s commitment to integrating health and science to address local and global healthcare challenges. This new center, in conjunction with dedicated medical professionals, is expected to greatly improve healthcare services for patients through research and clinical trials. The Minister emphasized that leveraging cutting-edge technologies and research practices will enhance the quality of healthcare services in alignment with Qatar’s National Development Strategy.

The Minister stressed the commitment of Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) to enhancing healthcare services and expanding professional care capacity with the opening of the Medical Care and Research Center at HMC Medical City. This new center is considered a critical milestone in Qatar’s public healthcare system, with a focus on conducting clinical trials to assess the safety and effectiveness of medical strategies, treatments, and devices. Additionally, the center is equipped to conduct innovative research and offers specialized pediatric healthcare services, including a pediatric intensive care unit, neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric day care unit, and pediatric ward.

The inauguration of the Medical Care and Research Centre marks a significant investment in healthcare infrastructure in Qatar, with the aim of advancing healthcare services through research and clinical trials. The Minister highlighted the importance of collaboration between medical professionals and the use of cutting-edge technologies to improve healthcare outcomes and address global healthcare challenges.
