Excitement is building for the upcoming Bahrain International Garden Show, set to take place from February 19 to 23, 2025 at Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir. This year, the theme of the show will be decided by the participants, making it a collaborative and inclusive event. Her Excellency Dr. Maram bint Isa Al Khalifa, Secretary General of the National Initiative for Agricultural Development (NIAD), announced the official opening date, emphasizing the event’s significance as both a commercial and educational platform.
During a recent press conference, Dr. Maram and Engineer Zahra Abdulmalik, Bahrain Garden Club (BGC) Chairperson, welcomed attendees and discussed the dual focus of the show. Dr. Maram highlighted the commercial aspect, stating that many companies have launched products using the platform of the Bahrain International Garden Show. This provides companies with an opportunity to expand their reach, form new partnerships, and create business relationships with both regional and international counterparts. The event also serves as an educational platform, raising awareness about advancements in agriculture and gardening, promoting good farming practices, and addressing sector concerns.
Engineer Zahra elaborated on the technical and innovative aspects of the show, emphasizing the partnership with the International Garden Show to celebrate milestones like the 25 years of His Majesty’s Cup for Residential Gardens. The upcoming show will coincide with the 60th anniversary of the Bahrain Garden Club, marking a significant milestone in the country’s gardening community. Plans are in place to advocate for a larger space for the Bahraini Farmers Market at the show to further support local farmers and their produce.
Dr. Maram extended an invitation to companies and organizations interested in participating in the Bahrain International Garden Show. She encouraged interested parties to contact the National Initiative for Agricultural Development to book their spaces and participate in the show. In her closing remarks, Dr. Maram expressed optimism for another successful event, highlighting the potential for growth, innovation, and community engagement in Bahrain’s agricultural sector. Overall, the upcoming Bahrain International Garden Show promises to be a collaborative, inclusive, and informative event for both participants and attendees.
