Taaleem, a Dubai-based educational provider, has recently acquired the rights to Harrow International Schools Ltd from the UK. This acquisition grants Taaleem exclusive ownership and operational rights for these prestigious schools throughout the UAE. Harrow International Schools have a long history of being the educational institution of choice for British prime ministers, aristocrats, and prominent societal figures, educating influential figures such as Lord Byron, Winston Churchill, and seven UK Prime Ministers.

The agreement extends Taaleem’s rights to Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar, and Kuwait, aligning with the group’s strategy to expand its regional presence and diversify. Khalid Al Tayer, Chairman of Taaleem, expressed pride in partnering with Harrow International Schools Limited, combining Harrow’s tradition of educational excellence with Taaleem’s regional experience and focus on local culture and values. The goal is to provide students with the highest standards of education and an environment where they can thrive both academically and personally.

David Eyton, Chairman of the Governors of Harrow School, shared his delight in expanding access to a Harrow education with Taaleem, emphasizing the commitment to raising educational standards and developing students’ talents and passions. The addition of the Harrow International Schools to Taaleem’s portfolio supports the UAE’s vision for a diversified economy and sustainable development. This partnership complements Taaleem’s upcoming Dubai British Schools, Jumeira and Mira, set to open in the coming years.

Alan Williamson, CEO of Taaleem, described the partnership as a privilege to extend Harrow’s legacy of academic excellence and holistic education across the GCC region. By combining Harrow’s educational philosophy with Taaleem’s commitment to premium education, they aim to provide an unparalleled educational experience for students. This collaboration also marks an important milestone as Taaleem launches its first Super-Premium schools in the GCC, providing greater choice for parents and students in the region. This union reflects a dedication to offering high-quality education that prepares students for a life of learning, leadership, service, and personal fulfillment.
