The Ministry of Social Development and Family in Qatar has launched a new project called “Aazim” with the aim of promoting financial awareness among Qatari families and youth. This project focuses on educating individuals on the importance of proper planning for spending and saving, in order to avoid resorting to borrowing to meet their needs. The ministry’s goal is to empower innovation and create opportunities for individuals to be part of positive change within society through innovative ideas that promote financial literacy.

Minister of Social Development and Family HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad emphasized the importance of building financial awareness based on Islamic values, in order to discourage excessive consumption and unnecessary luxuries. The Aazim project aims to transform community members into smart consumers who are aware of their financial decisions and avoid falling into the traps of high-income temptations. By providing workshops, training sessions, and online resources, the project seeks to educate families and young individuals on financial management and planning.

The project also offers financial consultations with advisors to help families and young individuals improve their financial situations. By sharing real success stories and practical advice, the project aims to inspire individuals and families to take control of their financial futures. The ultimate goal is to help Qatari families and youth make informed financial decisions, move away from extravagant spending, and build long-term financial stability through smart budgeting and saving.

Through partnerships with various sectors including the public and private sector, civil society institutions, and academic communities, the Aazim project aims to reach a wide audience and create a comprehensive approach to financial education. By leveraging social media platforms and smartphone applications, the project seeks to make financial planning and saving easily accessible and understandable for all members of society. Ultimately, the project aims to transform the Qatari society into a productive community that rejects dependence and irresponsible consumption.

The Aazim project also addresses the issue of financial challenges faced by newly employed individuals, those preparing for marriage, and individuals struggling with debts. By providing resources and support for financial planning and goal-setting, the project aims to equip citizens and youth with the skills needed to protect their wealth and achieve financial stability. Through training programs and awareness campaigns, the project seeks to eliminate financial burdens that can lead to divorce and other social issues within the community.

Overall, the Aazim project represents a significant step towards building financial awareness and empowering individuals to make informed financial decisions. By promoting responsible spending, saving, and planning, the project aims to create a society that is economically sustainable and socially aware. Through partnerships with key stakeholders and the use of innovative technologies, the project is well-positioned to make a positive impact on the financial well-being of Qatari families and youth now and in the future.
