The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism (MoHT) recently launched a promotional campaign for heritage and tourism assets during the summer season, with the theme ‘Change the Atmosphere.’ Running until the end of August, the campaign aims to boost local tourism, introduce visitors to heritage and tourist sites, and enhance tourism activities throughout the year. Partnering with the national travel operator (Visit Oman) and the Omran Group, the campaign promotes indoor places like museums and shopping centers, as well as moderate temperature areas such as Jebel Shams, Jebel Akhdar, and the beaches of Ash Sharqiyah South Governorate.

In addition to highlighting marine activities and experiences in areas with milder climates, the campaign offers travel companies’ packages for marine trips, adventure tours, accommodation deals, and entertainment center promotions. Haitham bin Mohammed Al Ghassani, Director General of Tourism Promotion at the MoHT, emphasized that the campaign aims to enhance tourist routes and transform them into enjoyable experiences that align with the aspirations of tourists. The ‘Change the Atmosphere’ campaign’s website, www.livethevibe.om, provides services and options for direct bookings, simplifying travel arrangements for visitors from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.

Shabib bin Mohammed Al Maamari, managing director of Visit Oman, highlighted the platform’s role in connecting local companies in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors with international markets. Offering over 100 partners, 80 hotels, and more than 100 tours across all governorates, the digital booking platform provides a comprehensive travel marketplace for visitors to explore and book various offers. Al Maamari stressed the importance of easy and efficient access to a wide range of tourism products, empowering small and medium-sized enterprises through digitally distributing and selling their products.

On behalf of the Omran Group, Mohammed Al-Ghafaili expressed their pleasure in collaborating with the MoHT and Visit Oman in launching the ‘Change the Atmosphere’ campaign. This initiative demonstrates the group’s commitment to supporting the development of the tourism sector in Oman by showcasing the richness and diversity of tourism offerings. The campaign serves as a platform for visitors and tourists to explore natural sites, engage in diverse adventures, and delve into heritage and historical locations, encouraging unforgettable tourism experiences in the Sultanate of Oman.

Overall, the ‘Change the Atmosphere’ campaign seeks to not only attract visitors but also to enhance tourism planning in alignment with the expectations and preferences of tourists. By offering a wide range of carefully curated tourist packages, the campaign aims to cater to various travel styles and preferences, making travel arrangements easier for visitors. With the support of the national travel operator (Visit Oman) and the Omran Group, the campaign highlights the beauty and uniqueness of Oman’s tourism sector, encouraging visitors to explore the country’s natural wonders, engage in cultural experiences, and create lasting memories.
