Weather Alert: Red and yellow warnings issued for fog, possibility of rainfall in the UAE today

The National Centre of Meteorology has predicted fair to partly cloudy weather with light to moderate Northwesterly winds blowing at a speed of 10 to 25 kmph, reaching 40kmph. There is a chance of low clouds forming over the East Coast, with some convective clouds appearing over the mountains that may bring rainfall. Additionally, a red and yellow alert has been issued for fog, causing a deterioration in horizontal visibility in some internal areas from 6am until 8.30am on Saturday. Temperatures may soar to 47ºC in the country, with Abu Dhabi and Dubai experiencing temperatures of 41ºC and 38ºC respectively, while internal areas may drop to as low as 24ºC.

It is advised to stay updated with the latest news by following KT on WhatsApp Channels. The weather will be humid by night and Sunday morning, with a possibility of mist formation over some coastal areas. Humidity levels are expected to range from 30 to 80 per cent in Abu Dhabi and from 45 to 85 per cent in Dubai. Sea conditions will remain slight in the Arabian Gulf and the Oman sea. Overall, it is important to be cautious while driving, especially during the fog alert period, and to stay hydrated and cool during the hot temperatures.
