During his official visit to the United States, Bahrain’s Minister of Industry and Commerce, Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, participated in a roundtable discussion with the National Council on US-Arab Relations. The main objective of the session was to strengthen economic ties and explore new investment opportunities between the two nations. The roundtable, which was attended by senior officials from both Bahrain and the US, emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to solidifying its strategic partnership with America.

Minister Fakhro highlighted the government’s desire to expand investment opportunities and pursue diversified economic ventures that would benefit both countries. He also pointed out the positive impact expected from the existing free trade agreement between Bahrain and the US. The discussions during the roundtable revolved around the latest advancements in trade cooperation between the two nations and focused on fostering closer connections between Bahraini and American businesses to achieve shared goals.

The dialogue extended beyond trade relations and encompassed ways to bolster bilateral cooperation across various strategic and developmental areas. This reflects a shared vision for the future of the US-Bahrain partnership. The aim is to not only strengthen economic ties but also enhance collaboration in other key sectors, such as technology, innovation, and infrastructure. By exploring opportunities for joint ventures and strategic partnerships, both countries can further solidify their relationship.

One of the key highlights of the roundtable discussion was the emphasis on creating a conducive environment for investment and business growth. Minister Fakhro highlighted Bahrain’s attractive business-friendly policies and regulatory framework that make it an ideal destination for foreign investors. By promoting transparency, ease of doing business, and innovation, Bahrain aims to position itself as a hub for international investment and a gateway to the Gulf region.

The roundtable also focused on the importance of promoting entrepreneurship and innovation as drivers of economic growth. Both Bahrain and the US recognize the need to support startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to foster innovation and create jobs. By encouraging entrepreneurship and providing support for startups, both countries can harness the potential of their respective business communities and drive economic development.

Overall, the roundtable discussion between Bahrain and the US underscored the mutual commitment to strengthening economic ties and fostering closer collaboration in various strategic areas. Through enhanced trade cooperation, investment opportunities, and a focus on entrepreneurship and innovation, both countries aim to build a resilient partnership that benefits their economies and people. By exploring new avenues for cooperation and promoting a conducive business environment, Bahrain and the US are poised to create a successful and sustainable economic partnership for the future.
