Al-Sheikh: ‘The Venue’ Chosen to Host Final of Esports World Cup

Turki Al-Sheikh, chairman of the General Entertainment Authority, recently announced that the new entertainment facility in Riyadh, known as ‘The Venue,’ will be hosting the E-Sports World Cup Final in August. He mentioned that the construction of ‘The Venue’ has already begun and is expected to be completed within a record time frame of 50 days. The project is being carried out by the Sela Sport Company, which is owned by the Public Investment Fund, and will involve the participation of Saudi staff. The facility will serve as a venue for large events and will help alleviate the pressure on the Kingdom Arena. Located near the Kingdom Arena, ‘The Venue’ will be available for use by all ministries, agencies, and the private sector for hosting their events.

Turki Al-Sheikh expressed his gratitude to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for their support of this initiative. The E-Sports World Cup is scheduled to take place at the Riyadh Boulevard City over a period of eight weeks from July 3 to August 25, 2024.
