The United Insurance Company (UIC) has recently announced that short-term insurance for vehicles entering the Kingdom of Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway will now be exclusively available through electronic channels starting July 1st, 2024. This means that insurance for 3, 5, and 10 days will only be obtainable through digital platforms, while the minimum insurance period available at insurance booths will be for one month. This move is aimed at enhancing the various insurance services offered to vehicles crossing the causeway, making the process of obtaining insurance easier and smoother for travelers.

With the electronic insurance service, travelers can easily obtain insurance policies and make payments electronically. This allows for the issuance of an insurance policy before crossing the King Fahd Causeway, streamlining the entire process for travelers. The CEO of UIC, Ms. Maysa Al Kooheji, stated that this initiative is part of the company’s efforts to implement a comprehensive digital transformation policy in all its operations. This move follows the company’s recent announcement of a new service development journey, which was inaugurated with a new logo and visual identity in January.

To access electronic insurance, travelers can use the “United Insurance” application, which can be downloaded from the app store. Insurance can also be obtained through the company’s official website, the “Jesr” application, the “etraffic” application, and through the e-Government portal of the Kingdom of Bahrain. This convenient and accessible method of obtaining insurance aims to make the process more efficient for travelers using the King Fahd Causeway, ensuring a smooth and easy passage for all vehicles.

The introduction of electronic insurance for vehicles entering Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway is a significant step towards modernizing and digitizing insurance services in the region. By offering short-term insurance exclusively through electronic channels, UIC is providing travelers with a more convenient and efficient way to obtain insurance for their vehicles. This move is part of the company’s broader digital transformation strategy, which aims to enhance the overall customer experience and streamline processes for travelers crossing the causeway.

The shift towards electronic insurance for vehicles entering Bahrain reflects a growing trend towards digitalization in the insurance industry. By leveraging technology and digital platforms, UIC is able to offer a more efficient and streamlined process for obtaining insurance, making it easier for travelers to comply with insurance requirements when crossing the causeway. This move also aligns with the broader digital transformation initiatives taking place in Bahrain, as the government and private sectors work together to modernize and digitize services for the benefit of residents and visitors.

In conclusion, the United Insurance Company’s decision to offer short-term insurance exclusively through electronic channels for vehicles entering Bahrain via the King Fahd Causeway is a significant step towards enhancing the overall customer experience and streamlining processes for travelers. By leveraging digital platforms, UIC is able to offer a more efficient and convenient way for travelers to obtain insurance, ensuring a smooth and easy passage for all vehicles crossing the causeway. This move reflects the company’s commitment to digital transformation and modernizing insurance services, as well as its dedication to providing the best possible service to its customers.
