The United Arab Emirates is experiencing a fair to partly cloudy day on Monday, with the possibility of low clouds in the east coast in the morning and convective clouds bringing rainfall in the eastern areas by the afternoon. The Weather site Windy predicts thunderstorms in the northern part of the country, with heavy rain and strong winds expected. Residents and travellers are advised to stay updated with official weather forecasts and take necessary precautions.

Heavy rains accompanied by hail were reported in Khatm Al Shiklah in Al Ain on Sunday, following a yellow alert for rain issued by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM). Moderate to heavy rain was also observed over new Khor Fakkan road and light to moderate rain in Maleha, Sharjah. The NCM issued a warning for motorists regarding poor visibility due to fog formation on Monday morning and issued a red alert for a deterioration in horizontal visibility.

The Abu Dhabi Police urged motorists to exercise caution due to reduced visibility caused by fog and changing speed limits displayed on electronic information boards. Despite the possibility of rain in some areas, temperatures are expected to reach 49ºC in the internal areas, with mercury reaching up to 48ºC in Abu Dhabi and 47ºC in Dubai. The highest temperature of the summer season so far, 49.9°C, was recorded in Mezaira in the Al Dhafra region on Friday, June 21.

Light to moderate winds, freshening at times, are expected during the daytime, with the sea being slight in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea. The UAE experienced foggy conditions over the weekend, with red alerts for heavy fog on Saturday and Sunday. The foggy conditions are expected to persist on Monday as well. Stay updated with official weather forecasts and take necessary precautions while navigating the challenging weather conditions in the UAE.
