Kylian Mbappe, France’s star forward, was named on the bench for the Euro 2024 match against the Netherlands after breaking his nose in the previous game against Austria. Despite training in a mask inspired by the French flag, Mbappe was not risked by manager Didier Deschamps. The winner of this game in Leipzig would secure a spot in the last 16 of the tournament.

After a collision with Austrian defender Kevin Danso left Mbappe bloodied in the opening game, there were concerns about his availability moving forward. Luckily, the 25-year-old did not need surgery and could potentially play a role later in the match against the Netherlands. Although a prolific scorer in World Cup competitions, Mbappe has yet to find the back of the net in the Euros, with hopes that he can break this drought in the upcoming games. In his absence, Aurelien Tchouameni is set to take his place in the team.

For the Netherlands, they make just one change from their winning lineup against Poland, with Jeremie Frimpong stepping in for Joey Veerman. Both teams will be looking to secure their place in the knockout stages of the tournament with a victory in this highly anticipated match. The stakes are high as they battle it out on the pitch in Leipzig.

The clash between two footballing powerhouses like France and the Netherlands is sure to be a thrilling match for fans and neutrals alike. With talented players on both sides, the outcome of this game could have a significant impact on the standings in Group D. While France has a history of success in major tournaments, the Netherlands are also a force to be reckoned with, making this a must-watch fixture in Euro 2024.

As the game kicks off in Leipzig, all eyes will be on the players as they battle for crucial points in the group stage. With Mbappe watching from the bench, France will look to their other stars to deliver a standout performance against a tough Dutch side. In a tournament filled with excitement and drama, this matchup promises to be one of the highlights as the two teams compete for a place in the knockout rounds of Euro 2024.

In the end, it will come down to which team can rise to the occasion and secure victory on the day. With so much at stake, both France and the Netherlands will leave it all on the pitch as they strive for success in Euro 2024. As the final whistle blows in Leipzig, only one team will emerge victorious, taking a significant step towards their ultimate goal of European glory.
