In 2023, the number of visitors to the Dhofar Governorate during the fall season increased by 18.4 percent to reach about 962,000 visitors and tourists. The total spending of visitors during the season amounted to OMR 103 million, showcasing the economic significance of tourism during the khareef season in Dhofar.
