Dubai: Students and Teachers March to Celebrate Inclusion and Diversity

Hundreds of students and teachers from Gems Legacy School participated in a ‘Walk for Inclusivity’ event that aimed to promote diversity, inclusion, and healthy lifestyles. The three-kilometre walk focused on enhancing the physical, social, and emotional well-being of all students, including those of determination within the school and the wider community. The event was a celebration of diversity and a commitment to building a health-conscious community. Mukesh Khurana, a businessman, attended the walk with his twin children, including Aryan, who has special needs. Aryan expressed his excitement and happiness about participating in the event, highlighting the importance of inclusivity and friendship.

The ‘Walk for Inclusivity’ event emphasized the significance of leading healthy and active lives for all students, especially those with special needs. It aimed to support mental well-being along with physical health, encouraging participants to prioritize their overall wellness. Principal Asha Alexander emphasized the importance of physical fitness as a key element in maintaining a healthy body and fostering dynamic intellectual activity.
