The Capital Municipality Council in Manama has recently approved a request to allocate financial resources for the maintenance and development of 39 parks and gardens within the Capital Governorate. This decision comes after a review of a report and recommendations from the Finance and Legal Committee, which emphasized the importance of upgrading these green spaces in line with the Kingdom’s urban development plans. During the Council meeting, the Chairman of the Finance and Legal Committee, Mohammed Al Abbas, explained that the committee members discussed the detailed budget for park development and maintenance with the Head of Parks and Gardens at the Capital Municipality. The focus is not only on ensuring that the facilities are fully operational and accessible to the public throughout the year, but also on generating additional revenue for the municipality. This move is seen as essential in improving the quality of life for the residents and citizens of the Capital Governorate, as well as in contributing to the overall urban development of the area.

The approval of financial resources for the maintenance and development of parks and gardens within the Capital Governorate reflects the commitment of the Capital Municipality Council to providing high-quality public spaces for the community. The decision also aligns with the Kingdom’s urban development plans, emphasizing the importance of green spaces in creating a sustainable and livable city. By upgrading these parks and gardens, the municipality aims to enhance the quality of services offered to its citizens and residents, as well as to generate additional revenue for future projects.

Furthermore, the Capital Municipality Council’s focus on ensuring that parks and gardens are fully operational and accessible to the public year-round is a significant step towards promoting a healthy and active lifestyle among residents. The provision of well-maintained green spaces not only encourages physical activity and outdoor recreation but also contributes to the overall well-being of the community. By investing in the maintenance and development of these parks and gardens, the municipality is investing in the health and happiness of its residents.
