Qatar and Jordan tie in U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers

The AFC U20 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers draw took place in Kuala Lumpur, revealing that Qatar has been placed in Group J along with Jordan, Singapore, and Hong Kong. A total of 45 teams will participate in the Qualifiers, divided into 10 groups. The matches will be played between September 21 and 29, 2024, with the 10 group winners and five best second-placed teams advancing to the Finals in China from February 6 to 23, 2025.

While Qatar will host their group matches, other hosting duties include Vietnam for Group A, Saudi Arabia for Group D, and Thailand for Group H, among others. Strong contenders like defending champions Uzbekistan, Korea Republic, and Japan will also have their eyes set on securing a spot in the Finals. The AFC U20 Asian Cup is an important tournament for the young football talents to showcase their skills on an international platform.

In addition to the U20 tournament, the AFC U17 Asian Cup 2025 Qualifiers draw was also finalized, with 43 teams divided into 10 groups. Defending champions Japan are placed in Group F along with Qatar, Mongolia, and Nepal. The Qualifiers will take place between October 19 and 27, 2024, with the Finals scheduled to be played from April 3 to 20, 2025. The competition promises to be intense as the teams battle it out for the coveted automatic ticket to the Finals.

With the excitement building up for both the U20 and U17 tournaments, football fans can expect some thrilling matches as the young talents from across Asia showcase their skills and determination to secure a spot in the Finals. The hosting countries will have the opportunity to showcase their football infrastructure and hospitality while providing a platform for the young players to gain valuable experience and exposure on an international level.
