Indian actor Taha Shah Badussha, known for his role in Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar, defends his character Tajdar Baloch against accusations of being chauvinistic. He explains that Tajdar’s opposition to the red-light district is due to his principles, not misogyny, as he believes in respecting women. Drawing from personal experiences as the child of a single mother, Badussha empathizes with women’s struggles in a patriarchal society.

Raised with a strong sense of courtesy, Badussha attributes his success on set to his respectful behavior towards the crew. He acknowledges the team’s support and appreciates their guidance, enhancing his performance. With his role in the series expanding from a three-day appearance to a significant character, Badussha expresses gratitude for the opportunity to work with renowned filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali.

Despite facing criticism in the industry, Badussha encourages positive attitudes towards co-star Sharmin Segal, who has been trolled for her performance. He emphasizes the importance of growth and resilience in a challenging industry. Reflecting on his reception by audiences and critics, he is grateful for the warm response and humbled by comparisons to iconic actors.

As he plans his next steps in the industry after Heeramandi, Badussha looks forward to exploring new projects. Having spent years honing his craft, he is excited about the opportunities ahead. With a Golden Visa facilitating regular visits to the UAE, Badussha reminisces about his time in Abu Dhabi and expresses a desire to engage in more activities in the region.

Having been renewed for a second season, Heeramandi: The Diamond Bazaar continues to captivate audiences worldwide. The series has been well-received for its intricate storytelling and cultural appeal. Despite facing challenges of being perceived as too good-looking for certain roles, Badussha remains dedicated to his craft and is focused on continuing his journey in the industry.
