As summer approaches, LuLu Hypermarket is celebrating with its “Best of Britain” festival, featuring a wide range of British foods and products. The festival, which began on May 15th and runs until May 25th, highlights seasonal goods, traditional favourites, beauty products, and fragrances that capture the essence of British summer. With the inauguration at the LuLu branch in the Diplomatic Quarter in Riyadh by British Ambassador Neil Crompton, shoppers can enjoy nearly 5,000 British items, including popular and premium brands, many of which are on promotion during the festival.

The LuLu British Food Festival will also showcase 35 new products from 6 leading brands, giving customers a taste of some great British food. With a total of 605 popular British brands available, LuLu is providing shoppers in Saudi Arabia with a variety of options to choose from. This annual festival allows people to experience the high quality and range of British food produce and beauty brands, offering a selection of summer treats such as freeze-packed berries, teas, organic milk, cheeses, yogurts, and specialty breads. The promotion is available at all LuLu outlets in Saudi Arabia.

British Ambassador Crompton expressed his excitement at inaugurating the LuLu British Food Week festival and noted the growing popularity of British FMCG goods in Saudi Arabia. With a 25% increase in imports between 2022 and 2023, there has been significant growth in the range of British products available, especially in the organic, biscuits, and chocolate categories. The festival has been a successful event in recent years, with active support from LuLu’s British subsidiary in Birmingham, a vital part of the strong partnership between the Lulu Group and the UK.

Director of LuLu Saudi Hypermarkets, Shehim Mohammed, extended his thanks to the British Embassy for their support and highlighted the role of the Birmingham logistics and warehousing facility in servicing the global hypermarket chain. The long list of British products available at LuLu Hypermarket has been well received by shoppers, resulting in growing sales figures. In addition to special promotions, the festival shines a spotlight on British food, cheeses, and drinks, giving shoppers the opportunity to enjoy these popular products from the UK.

Overall, the LuLu “Best of Britain” festival is a celebration of British culture and cuisine, offering shoppers in Saudi Arabia the chance to experience the best that Britain has to offer. With a wide selection of products available, including new launches and promotions, customers can enjoy a taste of British summer and explore the variety of British brands showcased at LuLu Hypermarket. The festival is a testament to the strong partnership between LuLu and the UK, as well as the growing demand for British products in the Saudi market.
