The medical clinics of the Qatari Hajj mission in Makkah Al-Mukarramah have received a license to operate from the Ministry of Health in Saudi Arabia. Dr. Khaled Abdel Hadi, head of the medical unit, stated that the clinics have been equipped with all necessary medical arrangements to ensure the safety and health of Qatari pilgrims. Special clinics for men and women, pharmacies, emergency centers, triage centers, and isolation rooms have been set up to provide comprehensive medical care to the pilgrims throughout their Hajj journey. The medical staff accompanying the mission are licensed professionals in various specialties.
Contracts have been signed with private hospitals in Mecca to provide emergency medical care to Qatari pilgrims, including Makkah Park Hospital and the Saudi German Hospital. An ambulance with the highest global health capabilities has been provided to ensure the safety and health of the pilgrims during their stay in the Holy Land. Plans are also in place to set up medical clinics in the holy sites of Mina and Arafat, as well as provide medical personnel in Muzdalifah, to ensure the well-being of the pilgrims during the Hajj rituals.
The coordination between the medical unit of the Qatari Hajj mission and other medical units in the Hajj campaigns is being overseen by the communication unit of the mission. This unit is responsible for linking all Qatari Hajj campaigns and ensuring the health and safety of every pilgrim from Qatar. In case of a medical emergency, the unit communicates directly with the medical team to provide timely intervention or medical examination as needed.
The State of Qatar is putting in every effort to provide top-notch healthcare services to its pilgrims in collaboration with Saudi Arabia. This effort is in line with Qatar’s national development strategy and Qatar National Vision to excel in health care, security, and public safety.
The focus on providing quality healthcare services to the Qatari pilgrims reflects the country’s commitment to becoming a developed nation and a preferred destination for family life. By prioritizing the safety and health of its citizens during the Hajj pilgrimage, Qatar aims to enhance its reputation as a top-tier country in terms of health care and public safety standards. This dedication to excellence in health services aligns with Qatar’s vision for sustainable growth and prosperity.
