GCC Occupational Health Conference discusses strategies for managing work-related stress

The 10th GCC Conference on Occupational Health and Safety in Muscat kicked off with a focus on “Welfare and Ideal Health at Work.” This two-day conference, organized by the Ministry of Labour, aims to emphasize the importance of occupational health and mental health in the workplace. Presided over by HH Sayyid Faris Fatik Al Said, the conference provides a platform for participants to exchange knowledge and expertise with specialists in the field. It also seeks to raise awareness about mental health issues at work.

With 14 sessions scheduled, the conference will review working papers on global trends in achieving employee wellbeing. Topics include ideal health measures, the impact of emotional intelligence on mental health, and the role of innovation and technology in enhancing wellbeing at work. The event will also cover occupational health in the digital age and showcase successful experiences from both local and international perspectives. The goal is to establish a healthy and supportive work environment and highlight the role of information technology in creating programs to promote this theme.

The conference is tailored for executive managers, directors-general, operation supervisors, and all other personnel responsible for occupational health and safety. By bringing together experts and professionals in the field, the event aims to foster discussions, sharing of best practices, and strategies for enhancing the overall wellbeing of employees in the workplace. It serves as a valuable platform for learning, networking, and collaboration in the field of occupational health and safety.
