Qatar’s young players are eager to make an impact in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2027 and FIFA World Cup 2026 joint qualifiers. The team, which has already secured a spot in the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and advanced to the third round of the FIFA World Cup 2026 qualifiers, is looking to build a strong squad with a mix of youth and experienced players. Head coach Marquez Lopez has included several youngsters in the squad for their last two Group A matches against Afghanistan and India.

The team is preparing to face Afghanistan at Prince Abdullah bin Jalawi Stadium in Al Ahsa, Saudi Arabia, before returning home to play against India on June 11th. Forward Ahmed Al Rawi expressed his pride in representing the national team and emphasized the importance of performing well in the upcoming matches. He, along with other players, is focused on following the coach’s plan and securing victories in the remaining games.

Qatar has been unbeaten in their previous four matches, defeating Afghanistan, India, and Kuwait. Midfielder Naif Al Hadhrami highlighted the team’s goal of maintaining their perfect record and continuing their winning streak before entering the third round of the World Cup 2026 qualifiers. The 22-year-old emphasized the importance of gaining valuable experience through these matches and expressed confidence in the team’s abilities to succeed.

21-year-old Jassim Al Sharsani expressed gratitude towards the coach for providing the opportunity to young players. He emphasized the importance of executing the coach’s strategy and showcasing their abilities on the field. These matches serve as a significant opportunity for young players to prove themselves and contribute to the team’s success.

In conclusion, Qatar’s young players are motivated to leave a mark in the upcoming qualifiers and are determined to give their best efforts on the field. With a mix of youth and experience, the team is focused on maintaining their winning streak and achieving success in the upcoming matches. These games present a valuable chance for young players to gain experience and demonstrate their abilities, as they aim to contribute to the team’s journey towards the AFC Asian Cup 2027 and FIFA World Cup 2026.
