Deputy Prime Minister discusses Gaza issues with Singapore President, meets with Singapore Prime Minister

President of Singapore H E Tharman Shanmugaratnam recently met with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah during the Shangri-La Dialogue organized by the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS). Discussions between the two leaders focused on topics of mutual interest and the latest regional developments, particularly the Israeli war on Gaza. The talks also highlighted Qatar’s role in mediation efforts and its commitment to achieving a ceasefire and ending the conflict in Gaza.

In a separate meeting, Prime Minister of Singapore H E Lawrence Wong engaged with Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defense Affairs H E Dr. Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah to discuss shared concerns and developments in the region, including the situation in Gaza. The meetings were attended by Ambassador of Qatar to Singapore H E Saoud bin Jassim Al Jufairi, as well as other senior officials from both countries.
