The Federal Tax Authority has recently announced new deadlines for the registration of taxable persons for corporate tax. The announcement is part of the FTA’s awareness campaign to help taxpayers meet their tax obligations under the Corporate Tax law. These deadlines apply to resident juridical persons that were incorporated or established before March 1, 2024, and are based on the date their license was issued.

According to the FTA, if a person has a license issued in January or February (regardless of the year), they must submit a tax registration application by May 31, 2024. For those who do not have a license on March 1, 2024, they have a three-month grace period to submit their tax registration application until May 31, 2024. These deadlines are crucial for ensuring compliance with the Corporate Tax law and avoiding penalties for non-compliance.

To ensure that taxpayers are aware of their specific deadlines, the FTA has posted month-wise tax registration deadlines. For licenses issued in March-April, the deadline is June 30, 2024, and for licenses issued in May, the deadline is July 31, 2024. The deadlines continue to progress throughout the year, with specific dates set for each month until the end of December 2024. It is essential for taxable persons to adhere to these deadlines to avoid any issues with tax compliance.

Taxpayers must stay up to date with the latest news and updates from the FTA to ensure they are aware of any changes or new regulations that may impact their tax obligations. Following KT on WhatsApp Channels can help taxpayers stay informed and proactive in meeting their tax responsibilities under the Corporate Tax law. By staying informed and taking timely action, taxpayers can avoid penalties and ensure compliance with the law.

The FTA’s awareness campaign highlights the importance of timely tax registration for corporate entities to fulfill their obligations under the Corporate Tax law. By understanding the deadlines and submitting their tax registration applications on time, taxpayers can avoid penalties and ensure compliance. It is crucial for taxable persons to be proactive in meeting their tax obligations to avoid any issues with the FTA and ensure smooth operations for their businesses.

In conclusion, the FTA’s announcement of new deadlines for tax registration for corporate entities underscores the importance of compliance with the Corporate Tax law. Taxable persons must be aware of their specific deadlines based on the issuance date of their license and ensure they submit their tax registration applications on time to avoid penalties and ensure compliance with the law. Staying informed and proactive in meeting tax obligations is essential for the smooth operation of businesses and avoiding any issues with the FTA.
