China and Bahrain recently issued a joint statement reaffirming their strong support for each other on key issues. The statement, commemorating the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two nations, emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to the One-China policy. This policy recognizes China’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, with Bahrain praising President Xi Jinping’s Global Development, Security, and Civilization Initiatives. China, in turn, welcomed Bahrain’s participation in these initiatives and expressed a willingness to collaborate further.

Both countries highlighted the importance of genuine multilateralism, supporting the UN-centered international system, and promoting a multipolar world and inclusive economic globalization. They also pledged to work together towards creating a shared future for humanity. The agreement between China and Bahrain includes plans to enhance communication at all levels, increase exchanges between governmental and parliamentary bodies, and strengthen policy coordination to deepen political trust.

As part of the Belt and Road Initiative, China and Bahrain will enhance cooperation in various sectors such as infrastructure, trade, investment, finance, technology, agriculture, education, culture, tourism, and health. This collaboration aims to stimulate development and prosperity in both nations. Additionally, they reiterated their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East and the Gulf region.

Both China and Bahrain advocate for dialogue and consultation to resolve disputes, promote positive neighborly relations, and enhance coordination on regional matters to foster peace, development, and security. The joint statement underscores the strong bilateral ties between the two nations and their shared vision for a peaceful and prosperous future. This collaboration is expected to strengthen economic and political relations between China and Bahrain while promoting regional stability and cooperation.
