Novak Djokovic is feeling positive as he aims to advance to the last 32 of the French Open, with a challenging schedule ahead due to rain delays. The world number one is seeking his fourth title at Roland Garros and his record-breaking 25th Grand Slam. Despite a recent dry spell, Djokovic remains optimistic following his opening round win against Pierre-Hugues Herbert. With a perfect record of 20 wins in 20 first round matches at Roland Garros, Djokovic is focused on maintaining his momentum and mindset on the court.

In his upcoming match against Roberto Carballes Baena, Djokovic will be looking to continue his winning streak against the Spanish player. The French Open has faced delays due to rain, resulting in a packed schedule with 55 second round ties scheduled to be played on Thursday. Amongst the early winners was world number two Aryna Sabalenka, who dominated her match against Japanese qualifier Moyuka Uchijima. Sabalenka, a two-time Australian Open champion, is expected to be a key contender for Iga Swiatek’s fourth French Open title.

Other notable players who advanced to the last 32 include former Wimbledon champion Elena Rybakina, Daniil Medvedev, and Alexander Zverev. Rybakina cruised to victory against Arantxa Rus, while Medvedev progressed after his opponent retired due to injury. Zverev, who caused a major upset by defeating Rafael Nadal in the previous round, is aiming to continue his successful run in Paris. On the other hand, David Goffin, the unseeded player facing Zverev, had a challenging first round match that was marred by controversial incidents involving a spectator.

As the competition intensifies, players like Casper Ruud are eager to make their mark at Roland Garros. Ruud, a runner-up in the last two years, is set to face off against Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in a highly anticipated match. With unpredictable weather conditions and a competitive field of players, the French Open promises to deliver thrilling tennis action in the days ahead. Fans can expect exciting matches and fierce competition as the tournament progresses towards the final stages.
