Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has kicked off its annual Adahi Campaign 1445 AH, with the theme #UdhiyaIsBlessing, aiming to provide sacrificial animal meat to over 60,000 beneficiaries in 17 countries. Faisal Mohamed Al-Emadi, Secretary-General of QRCS, extended his well wishes for Eid-ul-Adha 1445 AH to the people of Qatar, Arab and Muslim nations, emphasizing the importance of following the tradition of Prophet Mohamed (PBUH) by offering the ritual Udhiya. Al-Emadi highlighted the need to assist millions of displaced and underprivileged individuals worldwide who are struggling to access food and essentials to survive.

The #UdhiyaIsBlessing Adahi campaign by QRCS is designed to support charity payers who wish to offer Udhiya in the spirit of compassion for those in need. The campaign aims to secure various Sharia-compliant sacrificial animals, carry out slaughter at the specific religious time, and distribute meat rations to numerous beneficiary families across the targeted countries. The project will be implemented in Qatar, Palestine (Gaza), Jordan, Syria, Afghanistan, Yemen, Tajikistan, Bangladesh, Mauritania, Benin, Djibouti, Kenya, Sudan, Somalia, Central Africa, Niger, and Mali, providing different types of sacrificial animals for donations such as sheep, cattle, and goats.

The history of QRCS’s Adahi Campaign dates back to 2018, and it has successfully completed five versions to date. The campaign has effectively assisted donors in securing sacrificial animals like sheep, goats, and cows, ensuring compliance with Sharia regulations in the slaughter process, and distributing meat rations to nearly 1 million refugees, displaced individuals, and impoverished populations in various countries. QRCS accepts donations through online platforms, call centers, donor services, home donation collections, and a mobile app, making it convenient for individuals to contribute to the worthy cause.

This year’s Adahi Campaign emphasizes the importance of fulfilling the religious duty of Udhiya while also addressing the critical needs of vulnerable communities globally. By engaging in this campaign, donors can express their solidarity with those facing hardships and contribute to providing essential food supplies to those in need. QRCS’s initiative underscores the values of compassion, generosity, and community support, inspiring individuals to make a positive impact and share blessings during the sacred occasion of Eid-ul-Adha.

Through partnerships with local and international organizations, QRCS continues to expand its reach and impact, ensuring that the Adahi Campaign reaches beneficiaries in diverse countries and regions. By leveraging technology and innovative donation channels, QRCS facilitates contributions from individuals around the world, enabling them to participate in the charitable efforts and support those less fortunate. The success of the #UdhiyaIsBlessing Adahi campaign relies on the collective efforts of donors, volunteers, and partners, demonstrating the power of unity and collaboration in making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable populations.
