Manama hosts the Gulf Radio and Television Festival

The 16th edition of Gulf Radio and Television Festival has commenced in Manama with the theme “Our Media, Our Identity”. Organized by the Bahraini Ministry of Information in collaboration with Gulf Radio and Television, the festival aims to celebrate and showcase the best of media content from the region. Representing the Sultanate of Oman, the Ministry of Information has set up a pavilion at the event, titled “radio and TV production market”, to highlight Oman TV’s modern media content and exceptional programs. The opening ceremony featured two symposiums focusing on “Digital Media: credibility and positive impact” and “Gulf drama within two generations”.

During the festival, twenty media professionals, artists, directors, scriptwriters, and producers from the Arab Gulf countries will be honored for their contributions to the industry. Among the recipients are three individuals from Oman who have made significant impacts in the field of media. Artist and writer Ahmed Said Al Azki, the late journalist Abdullah Said Al Shuaili, and sports broadcaster Younis Mohammed Al Fahdi will be recognized for their outstanding work. The festival serves as a platform to acknowledge and celebrate the talent and creativity within the Gulf media industry.

The Gulf Radio and Television Festival provides a unique opportunity for media professionals to come together, exchange ideas, and showcase their work.
