Al Wasl, the Dubai-based football club, secured their 2023-2024 UAE Pro League title with a 3-0 victory over city rivals Shabab Al Ahli. This victory came just a week after their impressive President’s Cup triumph. With this win, Al Wasl now holds an impressive nine-point lead over second-placed Shabab Al Ahli.

The team completed a grand double by winning the league title after their 4-0 win over Al Nasr in the President’s Cup final. This win marked the eighth league title for Al Wasl, making them the joint-second most successful club alongside Shabab Al Ahli. Al Ain, with 14 league titles, holds the record as the most successful club in the tournament, having won the Asian Champions League title as well.

Al Wasl’s victory also ended their 17-year wait for the national league title. The team displayed resilience in their match against Shabab Al Ahli, with the first half ending in a goalless draw. However, they dominated the second half and secured the win with goals from Haris Seferovic, Fabio Lima, and Adama Alain Diallo.

This victory adds to the rich history of success for Al Wasl, showcasing their dominance in the UAE football scene. The team’s performance in both the President’s Cup and the UAE Pro League highlights their strength and determination to be one of the top clubs in the country. Fans and supporters of the club will rejoice in this achievement, celebrating the team’s hard work and dedication throughout the season.

As Al Wasl looks ahead to future competitions and challenges, this league title win will serve as a motivation to continue their winning streak and strive for more successes in the upcoming seasons. The club’s players, fans, and staff can all take pride in this accomplishment, knowing that their efforts have paid off with a well-deserved championship. With this victory, Al Wasl cements their status as a powerhouse in UAE football and sets a high standard for the seasons to come.
