MP calls for modernizing education system to be more relevant to job market

Dr Muneer Seroor, a Member of Parliament, has highlighted the importance of Bahrain’s education system adapting to current trends to meet the needs of modern employment sectors. He commended the Ministry of Education for its proactive strategies and expressed confidence in the Kingdom’s educational framework under the leadership of Minister Dr. Mohammed Juma. Dr. Seroor called for continued financial support to improve infrastructure, develop new programs, and enhance staff skills.

Private education in Bahrain is being enhanced to meet evolving job market demands, with the Ministry’s initiatives receiving positive feedback from parents and the wider community. Active engagement on social media platforms reflects the effectiveness of these initiatives in maintaining high educational standards. The Ministry was recognized with an award for having the best Arab governmental social media platform, highlighting its commitment to excellence.

During the academic year 2023, the Ministry of Education achieved several key milestones that demonstrate its dedication to improvement and responsiveness to societal changes. These accomplishments include timely distribution of textbooks, introduction of online support classes for final exam preparation, and training for third-year secondary school students preparing for English proficiency exams such as IELTS and TOEFL. The Ministry’s swift response to emergencies, like implementing temporary remote learning during the Sitra odor incident and assisting students affected by floods in Al Lawzi, showcased effective crisis management efforts.
