Emirati athletes excel at Jiu-Jitsu championship in Paris – News

Emirati Jiu-Jitsu fighters, Shammah AlKalbani and Khaled AlShehhi, showcased their skills and represented the UAE at the Abu Dhabi Extreme Championship in Paris, France. Both athletes emerged victorious in their respective matches, bringing home two wins and highlighting their prowess in the sport. AlKalbani, the first Emirati woman to compete and win at ADXC, also made history as the first female Jiu-Jitsu player to win a medal at the World Games in Alabama. Additionally, she holds the title of Asian Champion in Jiu-Jitsu, further solidifying her position as a formidable competitor in the sport.

Competing against Lina Grosset from France in the preliminary card, AlKalbani displayed exceptional skills and determination, ultimately securing a win via split decision. Meanwhile, AlShehhi, a black belt athlete with a distinguished record of achievements, also won via split decision in the co-main event against his opponent from Brazil, Leonardo Mario.
