His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan recently exchanged honorary orders (medals) during His Majesty the Sultan’s current “State Visit” to Jordan. The Sultan decorated King Abdullah II with the prestigious “Order of Al Said (Wisam Al-Said)”, which is the highest Omani medal. This reflects Oman’s pride in the strong bilateral relations and brotherly ties between the two countries. In return, King Abdullah II presented His Majesty with the “Order of al-Hussein bin Ali”, the highest Jordanian medal, showcasing the historical ties and deep affinity between Oman and Jordan.

The exchange of these honoruary orders underscores the deep-rooted historical relations and strong ties of fraternity between Oman and Jordan. Both leaders took this opportunity to emphasize the importance of maintaining and strengthening these relationships for the mutual benefit of the two countries and their peoples. The gesture of exchanging medals symbolizes the respect and admiration that both Sultan Haitham and King Abdullah have for each other, as well as their commitment to furthering cooperation and collaboration between Oman and Jordan.

The conferment of the “Order of Al Said” on King Abdullah II by Sultan Haitham signifies the Sultan’s recognition of Jordan’s significant role in the region and the valuable contributions of the Jordanian people to the development and progress of Oman and the Middle East. Likewise, the awarding of the “Order of al-Hussein bin Ali” to Sultan Haitham by King Abdullah II is a demonstration of Jordan’s appreciation for Oman’s longstanding support and friendship, as well as the Sultan’s leadership in promoting peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.

Overall, the exchange of honorury orders between His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein highlights the mutual respect, admiration, and cooperation between Oman and Jordan. Through this gesture, both leaders reaffirm their commitment to preserving and enhancing the strong bilateral relations and brotherly ties that have long existed between their countries. The exchanging of these high-level medals serves as a symbol of the enduring friendship and mutual appreciation that Oman and Jordan share, as well as their shared goals of peace, stability, and prosperity in the region.
