Three students from New Millennium School in Bahrain recently achieved third place in the country’s first Ceramic Symposium organized by the Ministry of Education. The school, the only CBSE school in attendance, was represented by Vandana Velmurugan (VIII), Aishwarya Subramaniam (VIII), Fatima Zahra (XII), and Reem Ikhwat (XII) in the competition, which focused on Islamic Ceramics. The event also featured an exhibition showcasing ceramic art created by students from various public and private schools across Bahrain. School officials, including Principal Arun Kuumar Sharma, Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai, and Managing Director Geetha Pillai, commended the students for their impressive achievement.

The Ceramic Symposium in Bahrain provided a unique platform for students to explore and showcase their creativity in the field of Islamic Ceramics, allowing them to learn and engage with traditional art forms. The event emphasized the importance of art education in schools, providing students with opportunities to develop their artistic skills and express their cultural heritage through art. By participating in such events, students not only enhance their artistic abilities but also gain valuable experience in competing on a larger scale and interacting with their peers from different schools.

New Millennium School’s successful participation in the Ceramic Symposium reflects the school’s commitment to providing students with diverse learning opportunities outside of the traditional classroom setting. By encouraging students to explore different art forms and participate in competitions, the school aims to nurture their creativity and foster a love for the arts. Such events also help students build confidence, develop teamwork skills, and learn from their peers, contributing to their overall personal and academic growth.

The presence of both public and private schools at the Ceramic Symposium highlights the collaborative nature of the educational community in Bahrain, where institutions come together to celebrate and promote art and creativity among students. By creating a platform for students to display their artistic talents, the symposium not only recognizes their hard work and dedication but also inspires them to continue pursuing their passion for art. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of art education in schools, encouraging students to explore and appreciate the cultural heritage of Bahrain through artistic expression.

Principal Arun Kuumar Sharma, Chairman Dr. Ravi Pillai, and Managing Director Geetha Pillai’s recognition of the students’ achievements reflects the school’s support and encouragement for students to excel in various domains, including the arts. By acknowledging and celebrating the students’ success, school officials contribute to building a positive and nurturing environment that values and promotes student achievements. Their involvement in such events further motivates students to strive for excellence and pursue their interests, knowing that their efforts will be recognized and appreciated by the school community.

Overall, the success of New Millennium School students in Bahrain’s first Ceramic Symposium serves as a testament to the school’s dedication to providing students with holistic educational experiences that go beyond academics. Through participation in events like the symposium, students have the opportunity to explore their creativity, develop their artistic skills, and showcase their talents on a larger platform. By celebrating and supporting students’ achievements in the arts, schools play a crucial role in nurturing students’ passions and talents, preparing them for a future where creativity and innovation are highly valued.
