Prime Minister Meets with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs

Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani met with UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator H.E Martin Griffiths at the Global Security Forum 2024 in Doha. During their meeting, they discussed cooperation relations between Qatar and the UN, particularly in the humanitarian field. They also talked about the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and ways to ensure sustainable humanitarian aid access to all areas of the Strip.

H.E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani reaffirmed Qatar’s full support for UN offices and organizations, expressing hope that the strategic dialogue between Qatar and the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs will strengthen their partnership. H.E Griffiths thanked Qatar for its continuous support for the UN, noting that the strategic dialogue will improve cooperation and help address humanitarian issues in the region.
