The UAE Cyber Security Council recently reported that a significant number of individuals and businesses fell victim to cyber attacks in the third quarter of 2023. The council revealed that 54 per cent of individuals were targeted by phishing websites, while 19 per cent were victims of social media scams. Mail phishing attempts affected 27 per cent of individuals, while instant messaging hoaxes deceived 16 per cent of people.
