The UAE Ministry of Culture has announced the opening of the second cycle of the national grant for culture and creativity for Emirati applicants. The deadline for online applications is June 1st. Launched last year, the program provides financial grants to Emirati creatives to support the production of artistic and creative works in various fields such as film, music, performances, and video games. Additionally, there are grants available for promotion and local participation, capacity development, and international travel and mobility.

The creation and production grant, with a maximum amount of Dh100,000, is meant to finance the production of creative projects. The promotion and local participation grant, worth Dh80,000, aims to support the promotion, distribution, and publication of creative works, as well as encourage participation in local opportunities and events by covering participation costs. There is also a capacity development grant of up to Dh50,000, which supports learning opportunities to enhance and upskill creative talents through courses, residencies, and training programs. The international travel and mobility grant, also up to Dh50,000, is designed to help creatives participate in international events by covering travel and accommodation costs.

The program is open to both emerging and established Emirati creative professionals, with applicants required to have an academic background in their creative field or at least three years of relevant work experience and a strong professional track record. It aims to support and empower creatives in the UAE to showcase their talents both locally and internationally. The grants provided through this program can be instrumental in helping Emirati creatives take their projects to the next level and gain exposure on a global platform.

It is crucial for Emirati creatives to stay up to date with the latest news and updates regarding the national grant for culture and creativity. Following KT on WhatsApp channels can provide valuable information and updates on the program, including application deadlines, eligibility criteria, and other relevant details. By staying informed and actively participating in such initiatives, Emirati creatives can maximize their chances of securing the necessary support and funding to bring their creative visions to life. The UAE Ministry of Culture’s initiative aims to nurture and support the creative community in the UAE, allowing them to explore their potential and contribute to the cultural landscape of the country.

The grants provided through the national grant for culture and creativity are diverse and cater to various areas within the creative industry, including production, promotion, capacity development, and international opportunities. These grants are intended to provide financial support to creatives at different stages of their career, whether they are just starting out or are established professionals. By offering such a range of grants, the program aims to address the specific needs and challenges faced by Emirati creatives and provide them with the necessary resources to thrive in their respective fields.

The eligibility criteria for the national grant for culture and creativity require applicants to demonstrate a strong academic background or relevant work experience in their creative field, along with a proven professional track record. This ensures that the grants are awarded to individuals who have the skills, talent, and dedication to make a significant impact in the creative industry. By targeting both emerging and established creatives, the program aims to foster a diverse and thriving creative community in the UAE, showcasing the talent and innovation present in the country on a global scale.
